About
Developer (empdarkness)
Hi, I'm empdarkness, the solo developer behind Altair and Overseer.
When I first started working on these bots, my programming knowledge was limited to basic C from high school robotics classes.
Over the years, I've learned a great deal and evolved my problem-solving approach.
I take immense pride in my creations, as they reflect my journey, passion, and dedication.
I prefer to avoid relying on other people's work, striving to create everything from scratch.
This approach ensures that my projects are self-sufficient and tailored to my specific vision.
Consequently, there's a lot of intricate work under the hood that powers everything I've made.
Altair
Development
Altair was initially designed as a clan-focused bot for sharing builds and managing roles.
It started with basic features like reaction roles and image build sharing.
Over time, it has evolved significantly and is now one of the most used Warframe bots.
If you've been with us from the beginning, you might recall the development surge around 2020.
This period saw the creation of the riven sniper feature, coinciding with my graduation and the onset of the pandemic, which gave me ample time to develop the bot further.
FAQ
Q: Where did the name Altair come from?
A: Altair is named after Altair from Re:Creators.
Overseer
Development
Overseer is a more recent project of mine, designed to replace the well-known bot, Wacky Toshi.
Wacky Toshi was used to track guild history and view the current active guild of a player but was limited by its server count due to the developer's decision not to verify it.
Overseer's initial features were part of Altair before I separated them to focus on their respective games.
It started as a simple guild/character tracker and viewer.
Following this, I added features for viewing the most sold pearl items over time and a member tracker to automate guild/alliance role management, reducing the strain on administrators.
FAQ
Q: Where did the name Overseer come from?
A: To be honest, I didn't really give it much thought. I just used a name off the top of my head.
